mail offline

for weeks now icloud has been offline inside Mail application on a mac. i can access it through web mail.


i've tried everything i found in previous discussions, but nothing seems to work.


is apple discontinuing support for this platform?


how can it be that the only mail account i'm unable to set up is... MY iCloud account???

MacBook Air, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)

Hey there memoranda,


It sounds like your iCloud Mail account is Offline. I do not know if you have tried this, but check here to try and make the account go online:


Mailbox > Take All Accounts Online.

If that does not resolve the issue, I would next try quitting Mail, unchecking Mail in the iCloud preferneces, restart the computer, recheck it and try again.


On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click iCloud.
