I have Mavericks on my MacBook Pro and need to create an iDVD but it freezes when I try to open it. Also same with iMovie (8.0.6)??

Can't open either my version of iDVD (and seems Apple no longer has iDVD??) or iMovie (8.0.6) with my MacBook Pro with Mavericks? Is it not possible to create DVDs anymore with Mavericks, which is what I want to do? Creating DVDs with iDVD was what I do most?? Any help with these issues?

Allen, Thanks for answering. When I try this, I get nowhere:

In the Finder, click the Go menu and choose Home.
Open the Library folder and then the Preferences folder.
Remove the "com.apple.x.plist" file, where "x" should be replaced with the iLife application you are troubleshooting (for example, "com.apple.iphoto.plist" or "com.apple.imovie8.plist").
Remove receipts and reinstall iLife applications

I cant find either the Library or Preferences folders. Are they invisible and somewhere else?

I search with Spot Light for them, I also do not find them....

Advice?

I think that iDVD and iMovie 8 should still work under Mavericks. Certainly the later (iLife '11) versions do.
