youtube shudders

I recently upgraded to Adobe Flash v13 and then discovered that YouTube videos shudder when I watch them. I reverted to Adobe Flash v12 but find that the shuddering still occurs. I've invoked HTML 5 for watching YouTube but this hasn't solved the problem.

I have a Late 2008 13" Aluminium MacBook running OS X 10.9.2.

Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Any advice would be most welcome.

Many thanks Carolyn - that's the fastest reply I think I've ever had - but I've already tried that and reverted to v12 of Adobe Flash as I mentioned in my original post..
