Q: how do i get my ipad to connect to a brother 3170cdw printer to air print

i am trying to get my i pad to air print to a brother 3170cdw printer. according to apple it will work.

I have both devices on the same wireless router, but the ipad doesn't see the printer

iPad, iOS 7.0.4

The printer must be AirPrint compatible > AirPrint Basics

Check the AirPrint Basic link provided by the previous poster. It has a list of all printers that support AirPrint. If your printer is listed your iPad should be able to print to it.
