How to expand/collapse folders in iOS Mail?

I just moved an IMAP account over to my iPhone. This IMAP account is organized with dozens and possibly hundreds of folders and subfolders. On the Macintosh, Mail.app does a great job of allowing me to expand and contract folders to view their subfolders. On iOS I can't find any way to do this. All the folders and subfolders appear to be permanently expanded. Surely that's not the case! This is very basic functionality and the iOS mail app has been around for years. Can anyone tell me how to do this?

Hi. I found this great app called Altamail. It works great and you can see all folders collapsed and open them. (It is an email client that you can adjust to your needs with a LOT of customization. Actually one thing you have to customize is the age of the messages in folders since they have it in default for 60 days past) It works great for me and they have a free version for you to try first. Hope this works, I was looking for this for years and I think is the final solution for working with folders and subfolders in email with the IPAD.
