Can I use my iPhone 5S unlocked for international use by Sprint with local Nano Simcard in South Korea or in UK?

I am planning to travel for business to South Korea and UK and have some concerns with using my iPhone 5S that has been unlocked for international use by Sprint. Can I use my unlocked iPhone 5S with local Pre-Paid Nano Simcard in South Korea or in UK?

Here is my specific concern for raising this question. I understand that Europe and Asia use GSM Frequency of 900/1800MHz, while US uses 850/1900MHz, so I am not sure if the GSM Nano Simcard from South Korea or UK would be compatible for use with an iPhone 5S from US.

Can anyone help me with the answer to my question?

If the phone has been unlocked, then yes, you can use it in the UK and elsewhere with local sim cards, however, due to frequency differences, you probably will not be able to get 4G and things like that. The phone will still operate on a 3G frequency or whatever is available.
