Intro media from iMovie
iMovie (10.0.2) only makes videos in 16:9 aspect ratio, which doesn't fit very nicely in the 4:3 box for intro media in iBook Author. Is that right? Is there a best alternative?

Its OK, it will just leave a border top and bottom of the screen. Remember its not Walt Disney or Pixar making mega movies... its a short video intro... required mainly to demonstarte teh iPads capabilities and iBooks!
The alternative is to create a video with equipment that allows different image sizes ( older digital video cams) or use an editor to resize - BUT its not worth the effort.
All videos on iPads have this "problem" - unlike a "well known rival" who use 1280 width screens!
