updating projects in final cut x 10.1.1

I updated to fcpx 10.1.1. In the process of installation, one of my exterior drives was not connected to my computer. Now that the FCPX 10.1.1 is installed ( and the projects and events on other drives are successfully updated) I went to file >update projects and events and chose the exterior drive. The problem is that the FINAL CUT X folders are grayed out. I cannot choose them so I cannot update those files.
