Should be in your Purchase History like any other purchase.

Rentals will appear in iTunes in your Purchased history, however they are not directly labeled as such on the main list.

You need to click the Purchase to get the details for it, and then it will tell you its a rental.

In the list above AntMan was a code redemption not a rental. Sicario and Terminator Genisys where Rentals.

If more than one purchase took place on the same day, the Rental may not appear in the list if there's no room for it. You would still have to click on the date when the Rental took Place to get a full detailed list of all the purchases made on that date including any rentals

No again?

All purchases, including rentals for all devices using an Apple ID will appear in Purchase History on iTunes on a computer.

It will not specify what device it was rented on, but the purchases should appear there assuming the Apple ID being used in itunes is the same one being used on the Apple TV.

In fact in my example above, Terminator Genysis and Sicario were rented on an Apple TV.

What exactly are you looking for that does not show up? What exactly are you doing to try to see this information? It is only visible on a computer by the way.

It may take some time from the moment of rental on an Apple TV for the purchase to appear in Purchased History, just like it takes some time for the purchase receipt email to be sent and received. Generally 24 hours in my experience.

No again. There is no record in Purchase History of such things as purchases on AppleTV, for instance. Nor tunes bought under iTunes.

"...the purchases should appear there assuming the Apple ID being used in itunes is the same one being used on the Apple TV." "Should" being the operative word. "Doesn't" being the accurate one though.

Same Apple ID is used here on my iMac, on my iPhone and on AppleTV.

My last receipt from Apple, for an unspecified amount of time up to October 16, and showing no dates for any of the purchases (either of which could get an accountant summarily executed), showed various movies and TV episodes purchases on AppleTV.

I'm accessing (on my iMac) Purchase History through iTunes then Search, but also through apple.com/us/search/purchase-history which once showed up in my trek. I land in the same place, and see nothing that would offer to show me what I had purchased, for how much, and when . . .

Thank you for your quick response, but this is still a puzzlement.

Where exactly are you doing 'Purchase History through iTunes then Search' ? You are using the iTunes programme on your Mac (Account > Purchased menu option on your Mac's iTunes), or just using a browser ?

You won't see any of your iTunes purchases on 'apple.com/us/search/purchase-history', that is for your Apple Store (the Apple online store and their shops) purchases.

I'm on my iMac, using Firefox (though I tried this on Safari as well).

AHA! But your clever mention of iTunes-the-app, and Account>Purchased sent me on the other trail. And I found it.

Thanks so much. Never again will it be hidden!

apple.com/us/search/purchase-history is for purchases made from the Apple Online store for hardware. Things like computers, iPhones etc.. It will not and has never shown purchases/rentals made in the iTunes store.

Once again, purchases made on the iTunes store can be seen in iTunes on your computer, or for purchases made in the last 90 days at http://reportaproblem.apple.com

Search? What search? You cannot search the purchased history in iTunes.

If you are using the Search at the top right corner of iTunes, that just searches the store, not your specific purchases.

If you go to the Account Menu in iTunes, then Select View My account. It will open the account details. Then scroll down to the Purchased History section, and click on View All, that's where all your purchases can be found including rentals. You'll see a listing like the one I pictured above. You can then use the buttons there to navigate the list.

Rentals will not appear in your library once they have expired.

I think you are looking in the wrong places and expecting to see things in those places that do not appear there

Okay, I think I've got it now. Thanks to all who helped me.

BUT I have a huge question -- hopefully some Apple employees will see this and do something about it.

When I finally find my iTunes purchase history . . . I cannot print it out, can't save it, can't use screen capture (can't even reduce the pages size to allow selective screen capture).

What on earth is the point of that? And how do I get around it?

We are fellow users, apart from 'community specialists' who reply on old thread, Apple don't participate on here. If you want to leave feedback to Apple : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html

I cannot print it out, can't save it, can't use screen capture

There isn't a print or history download/extraction, but you should be able to do screenshots - I can do a full screenshot via command-shift-4, and can do a selective capture via command-shift-4 (and the clicking and dragging to select the area to capture)
