I have a FCP 7 project that I need to re-edit for a client. I have 7 to X installed but it is looking for an XML file frome the old project. I'm assuming that I need to export that file from within FCP7 but I am unable to get that to open. Is there any other way to open the old project file in FCPX? Thanks!

If you exported the XML from FCP7, you should be able to open it in 7toX. If you cannot you should contact Intelligent Assistance. They are excellent with support for their products.
That's just it Tom; I am unable to get FCP7 to open and thus am unable to export an XML file. I'll see what IA has to say though...
Without the XML there's nothing you can do. What happens when you try to open fcp?
