Problems transferring FCPX Libraries

Hi everybody,

I am getting an error message when trying to transfer any FCP X library to my internal file server. It is unique to FCP X libraries and doesn't effect any other type of files I can discover. When I copy the library back it in fact is missing the media assets such as images, clips, music, etc.

The error message is:

The operation can’t be completed because one or more required items can’t be found.

(Error code -43)

How I do my thing:

Once a project is completed I do my normal archival process of deleting all render files and optimized media (ensuring original media is in tact) before sending the FCP X library to my internal file server for archive.

I have been doing this since FCP X 10.1 was released without any issues until Monday just passed - 16 April 2014.

My workaround:

Compress the file and then send the zip package to the internal server. I have transferred the packages back to my computer and there are no problems what so ever in working from the file, it appears to be only the FCP X library that is having issues.

Thanks,

Ryan

I have this issue too. I'm unable to move an FCPX library to either our local server or LTO tape drive due to the "The operation can't be completed because the item is in use" error. FCPX is not running. Very frustrating. Compressing isn't an option, the file is too big to be essentially doubled in size on the RAID box where it's being edited.
