Mini and remote to compliment Air?

I love my Macbook Air (2012), 80% of the time it is perfect for what I need or want to do.

In 2 regards though it falls short - limited hard drive space (I got the 128 gig) and gaming it lags.

Could I buy a Mac Mini, install games and other 'need once in a while' stuff there, and use some sort of desktop share program (PC Anywhere or Citrix kind of thing) to solve my issue? I feel like I would not need a keyboard or monitor once I got it up and running.

Plausible? Advise?

You will only notic a little better game performance on the Mini. Both the your Air and the Mini use the Intel 4000 graphics built into the CPU. The CPU speed on the stock Mini is

2.5GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 (Turbo Boost up to 3.1GHz) with 3MB L3 cache

while the Air is

1.7GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 (Turbo Boost up to 2.6GHz) with 3MB shared L3 cache

$1099 model configurable to dual-core 2.0GHz Intel Core i7 (Turbo Boost up to 3.2GHz) with 4MB shared L3 cache.

So the it depends upon what Air you have which has faster CPU.

When you use screen sharing, gra[hics is handeld by the CPU so is is slower than if on the host machine.

I would just get eternal HD for the Air
