How on earth do I select an object that is behind another object?
Is there a way to see object layers - or do I simply have to remove the front object to select the one behind?
- or can I only use the arrange-tools?
Very frustrated...

Tab & Shift-Tab will move the selection to different objects on the slide, even if they're hidden behind other objects

I'm having the same issue. I'm trying to group objects and with Tab or Shift-Tab the focus keeps shifting. Plus there are some objects that Tab / Shift-Tab doesn't seem to find at all.

If objects are hidden one behind the other, select all the objects and apply a temporary effect, open the Build Order list then command click on the objects you want to select. When finished remove the effect if you no longer need it.
Brilliant... thank so much. Grouping seems to delete the build effect which is perfect.
