MacBook Pro wifi connectivity issue
I've been having issues with my MBP's wifi connectivity since a year ago after an update. I'd had the router in known connections list so that the MBP could connect automatically on startup. After that update there's something wrong between the router and the MBP. On startup it tries to connect to the router and wifi icon bars start to flash for a few times and then it remains grey. Even it won't show any other available connection. After reading a lot of forums I couldn't find any solution, but I figured it out that by turning the wifi on and off for a few times, I can get it back to work. Now after one year this isn't working anymore and I can't connect to my router at home at all. The point is that I don't have any issues with other devices using the same router and MBP works fine over other connections. Even I can use wifi flawlessly using windows 8 on my MBP.
Also a friend of mine had a similar issue, but after changing the number of channels to something less than 10 everything was ok for him. I tried changing the number of channels a bunch of times which didn't work for me. I tried everything from deleting the connection and recreating it to turning off the firewall. But there's no change.
That channel changing method sounds reasonable, I'll be really glad to hear more about that solution or any other solution that can lead me out of this deadlock.
Thank you for your time.
