iPhone 5s mail ringtone verizon

Is there a way to set up a ringtone for a specific email address? I have tried phone, edit, added # and email address of my girlfriend then, I added a textone and ringtone, I then had her send me a an email to each of my email address's hoping that a ringtone would sound off, it did not. Only when I actually opened emails did I get a ringtone.

Is there a way, as I would like to set up so that I can respond faster when clients call, any help would be appreciated

No, that is not an option only universal tone for all emails.

Thank you for your response Raz,

You know when someone calls on your phone the phone rings, can I set all of my email addresses to react the same way by giving each one a different ringtone and if so could you direct me to how to set it

You can't. You can set different alert sounds for different email accounts and for VIPs in settings. You can not assign a specific alert tone to a specific email contact.
