Does the iHome iH5 for iPod charge your iPod?

I was considering purchasing an iHome iH5 for iPod speaker/alarm/radio set. Does anyone know if when you attach your ipod the iH5 recharges it? I've heard that some speaker stations do.

Also, if anyone has used this product, how is the quality of the speakers? Thanks.
