convert MTS files for iMovie
I have video recorded on a digital camera that is in MTS format. How can I convert it so I can use iMovie to edit it?
MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2012), OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)
no camera records in this 'format'.
mts are part of an AVCHD.structure - keep the structure, use iMovies 'import from camera'.
If, for any unknown reason, those mts are 'orphanized' by its surrounding AVCHD-folder structure, iMovie v10 can import those files; or, for older versions of iMovie, use the free tool Remuxto re-wrap the mts into mov.
