"Wifi: No hardware installed" fixed!!!

I accidentally fixed this problem!

Here are the problems with my MBP Retina Mid 2012:

1) "wifi: no hardware installed"

2) Can not login to Appstore with my username and password (But i could connect using Chrome/Safari)

I've tried everything i can in all the forums with the wifi problem, but the only solution for me was to give it to apple support. But i have to wait for my salary to come for this to happen. (And i have a LAN connection anyway so it can wait)

After maybe 2 weeks, i had a problem logging in with Appstore, My UN and PW was correct (cause i tried in Chrome and Safari) but it is showing that i have to contact apple support. Then i went to forums on how to fix this. I tried and viola! It worked! Plus i also accidentaly got my Wifi problems fixed!

Here's the solution:

1) Delete the file Macintosh HD/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist

2) Reboot

3) Sign in to the app store.

p.s If you don't know how to do this, then I would caution you on messing around with system files - but if you are aware of the possible consequences (rare if you follow the instructions)

1) click on the finder

2) click on 'Go' (top menu) -> 'Go to Folder...'

3) copy and paste this into the field (minus the quotations) " /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration "

4) find and trash NetworkInterfaces.plist

5) reboot

Found this fix on another site. No need to buy the adapter.

Worked for me on the first try.

Reset NVRAM

  1. Shut down the computer.
  2. Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R.
  3. Turn on the computer.
  4. Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
  5. Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
  6. Release the keys.

Once the computer powers on your wireless will now be working.

I have tried many of the 'fixes' online, some work sporadically, but no permanent fix. The best solution I've found is to use a usb wifi dongle to work around using your b0rked wifi hardware. This one has a tiny profile, and is <$10 on amazon and does the trick beautifullyl Edimax EW-7811Un - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003MTTJOY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF 8&psc=1
