Pages-problems emailing document with images

For the past year I have had problems emailing a document with images. The recipient does not receive the images, only the text. I need to be able to email it as a page document because it is a newsletter that requires further formatting. Help. I'm tired of having to email my images separately. I never had a problem with this in the beginning.
