Battery not charging even though green light is on ?

Hi all,

First post here. I have a MBP of about 3-4 years and today it stopped charging. It only works when my charger is plugged in. Until today.

Full charge capacity (mAh): 0

Health Information:

Based on the battery information that you posted, the battery has had a full life and needs to be replaced. A trip to an Apple store for a replacement is your best option.

Ciao.

The green light means that the power adapter is providing power for the MBP, not charging the battery. An amber light would indicate that the battery is being charged.

You think Apple really cares ? In my family alone we have 3 iPhones, 2 MBP's, 3 iPads, 4 iPods and 1 iMac.

Anyway.

Would it be better to just get a new battery or get a new MBP all-together ?

I am contemplating it because my MBP is already 3 and a half-years old. For the summer it is fine because I am not bringing my laptop anywhere but come September it will be nearly 4 years old and the need for portability is essential.

Apart the fact that I do not need to buy a new one right now [if I get one it would be in September] they also hand out better deals for back-to-school so I might as well wait.

If you are a student, you can get one of Apple's education discounts.

Apple is just like any other huge corporation who are in the business of making money. You are no different from any other customer. Doesn't matter if you spend $15 or over 10K. All customers are treated the same as well as Apple's policies applies to all customers
