How do I open my Aperture program with the new Maverick?

I recently upgraded my desktop to Maverick and now I am unable to use my Aperture program. How do I refresh or upgrade to be able to use my Aperture program?

Aperture 2, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)

What version of Aperture is it? Aperture 2.1.4 is not supported on OS X Mavericks but some people have it running (there are some known issues, like the loupe doesn't work). Older versions of Aperture likely won't run.

You can go to the Mac App Store and buy Aperture 3.5.1 for $79 I think it is. That will work fine. You should make a backup of your library before letting Aperture upgrade it, to be safe.
