Apr 16, 2014 2:46 PM in response to ronjonjackby sberman,The way around this is to get some (lesseer) printing support from some third party app from the App Store.
There may be a Canon app or some general purpose printing app.

Apr 16, 2014 2:47 PM in response to ronjonjackby Lyssa,There are a variety of programs you can install on your computer and from there you can mimic the AirPrint capability. I believe you need to have the printer connected to the computer via USB and have the computer on if you wish to print.
Printopia is available for Mac.
This older post has a variety of options listed also.

If the Printer is not AirPrint compatible, you can try looking for an App in Canon's Website.
Or try a Print Server Application that runs on your computer and shares the printer out to devices on the network.
If you have a Mac Printopia is often suggested for that purpose. There should be similar alternatives for Windows PCs.
