Apr 16, 2014 5:22 PM in response to cheetah print gurlby ssschmidt,http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3367 is the article for troubleshooting facetime.

Apr 17, 2014 10:16 AM in response to cheetah print gurlby timborama,I have the same issue, just started about 12 hours ago. All of my devices and computers now get the same error "FaceTime ended" immediately after connecting with facetime.
FWIW, that troubleshooting document is of ZERO help. The problem clearly is something on Apple's side, as it's affecting only certain people.

Apr 18, 2014 6:29 AM in response to cheetah print gurlby acastleberry,It's being reported by many users that the problem is only occurring if you are running iOS 6 on your device. iOS 7 users are not facing the issue. If possible, upgrade your device. If you are not able to upgrade, you'll need to wait on Apple to fix the issue

Apr 18, 2014 12:46 PM in response to acastleberryby John Sinclair1,Contrary to many reports, the issue is not restricted to iOS 6 only. Many are having issues with iOS 7 and OS 10.9 as well. Thinking it must be something on Apple's end. Wish they'd hurry up and fix this.

Apr 18, 2014 8:51 PM in response to AW_detby EileenC33,If you are running IOS 7 and also having problems ...I am surprised. I have five children running IOS 7 ... And they are not having problems with Face Time...only me, as I have successfully resisted updating to IOS 7 so far ....but this might be the thing that pushes me...I just don't like the graphics or the colors. Maybe Skype?

Apr 19, 2014 5:12 PM in response to cheetah print gurlby dagolfpro,My wife is having the same problem and she's using IOS6 and I'm on IOS7. If you call or call from IOS6 device, that's the issue. If you're calling from IO7 TO IO7 device, no issues. She's been reluntant about upgrading, but I guess this will push her over the edge.

Apr 19, 2014 5:53 PM in response to cheetah print gurlby Applejac1,On the 18th of April, I along with the rest of my family members all started having the "FaceTime connection issue" around the same time and day. It only seemed to effect our iPhones. As we could FT ipad to ipad or iPod to ipad and vice versa with no problem... Our phones where on the iOS 6.1.3...
I opened a support chat with an apple tech and they couldn't tell me why this happening. However, they told me that I would need to upgrade iOS.... I was really trying to hold off upgrading, but wanted the FaceTime feature to work. So, after trying everything possible to make FaceTime work without upgrading and having no success, I upgraded the device. I tried FaceTime and it works fine.... I think Apple was doing some kind of maintenance on the 17th, after that many people (globally) started having issues with FaceTime.... Go figure... "I think it was a Conspiracy, to force everyone to be on the new iOS" Anyway, Upgrade it, you will feel like you have a new device! I'm glad I did!

Apr 21, 2014 3:16 AM in response to Applejac1by Clare41,I have upgraded but still not working from same dates :( I need FaceTime to keep in touch with my family.

Apr 21, 2014 7:24 AM in response to Clare41by dagolfpro,If your family members upgrade theirs as well? If not, you can't FT them until they do as well. My wife and her mother both did and it's working now for both of them.

Jul 1, 2014 7:05 PM in response to dagolfproby jagapple123,I had this problem, communicating between a laptop running Mavericks, and an old ipod touch running iOS 6. I upgraded to the latest version of iOS6 (not 7, that model touch can't run iOS7) and it fixed the problem.
