If there is, Apple hasn't published it.

AirPlay is a networking protocol and basically "rides on" the AirPort Extreme's Wi-Fi or wired network from the source to its final destination, an AirPlay "speaker." That speaker can be an AirPort Express, Apple TV, iOS device, Mac or PC, or an AirPlay-ready device provided by another manufacturer.
