First, you may think Apple is aware....but their staff states that they are unaware. At least Keisha, Nathan and Mark do (two of whom are supervisors). They spent four minutes trying to get me to renew my Apple Care which doesn't expire for 3 months.

Mark was convinced it was my issue with iOs7.1, which I'd updated the day it became available.

I did call Apple - three times and was greeted by Keisha who tried to upsell me, but admitted she didn't know anything about it. "sorry".

The I spoke with Nathan who spend most of the time saying "awesome" after having me turn off, turn on, reset, etc....my phone. I told him it was all my devices, my 2 daughters, my friends, my spouse, my son-in-law, in NC, WA, CA, VA, and LA.

Mark- super snippy, after 20 minutes, got very rude and stated with as much sarcasm as he could muster (which was a lot)...."so this couldn't possibly be your problem, must be Apple's, right?" Then said I'll send it to the engineers, but sounds like you need to make sure you renew your AppleCare." Seriously???

So while you advise folks to read the forums before posting something that was already answered....consider that there are many, many, misinformed people on these forums. Most of the misinformation, or lack of information is coming directly from Apple.

"Apple is aware of the issue.

I would encourage everyone who has the issue to call AppleCare. The more calls they received, the more impact we'll make on the resolution of this specific problem.

Please make sure to have follow these steps first : http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3367

And PLEASE, search and read around the forums before posting something that was already answered."

Thank you, very well put. I have exactly the same situation with my mother. She's meanwhile 84 and it just worked beautifully for her, FT'ing on a daily basis with her children and grandchldren. She *probably* will be able to get along fine with iOS7 but the problem is that there is no way back after you upgrade.. And without a clear statement from Apple, it's not even sure that the upgrade wll fix the issue..

Okay, my mother had iOS6 and we couldn't FaceTime her. So got on the phone and gave my mother step by step to get her updated. Once the updates where completed, FaceTime was alive and working once again!

    Solution, update to iOS7.

I'm sorry, but updating to iOS7 is not the solution. My devices were updated, as were the folks I've been trying to connect with....doesn't work.
