AirPort Express dead

Have two AirPort Express Base Stations connected to an Airport Time Capsule for home network. Found that one of my Airport Express is dead. No lights. Zippo. What to do?

Before giving up on the "dead" Express, try performing a "factory default" reset on it. Note: You may have to perform this a few times to get it to "stick."


If after the resets the status light still does not light up and the unit feels cool to the touch, its internal power supply may have failed.


If you bought the Express along with an Apple laptop or desktop, I would suggest that you take it back to an Apple Store to see if it is still under the AppleCare warranty.
