Why do my apps keep crashing?.

I have a 4th gen IPod fully up to date with the iOS. Yes I have all ready closed out removing them. I have also all the apps by double tapping home and shut off my iPod all the way, I did not put it to sleep, and rebooted it. I have had this problem for several months now and it is still getting worse. It first starting with the apps that were the most CPU intensive, now it even does it when I am watching videos on safari, I I'll get 3 to 5 minutes, if I am lucky 7 minutes.

Any suggestions on what I might try to to fix this issue?

Periodically double click the home button and close all the apps in the recently used dock. Then power off and then back on the iPod. This frees up memory. The 4G only has 256 MB of memory.

Then as necessary

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Restore from backup. See:

iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
