My desktop folder disappeared and I can't access or find it. I can find files when I look in the finder. Please help me recover the folder and place it back on my desktop. Oh, and it's not in the recycle bin either.
What Mac do you have, with what version of OS X?
If you have the latest version of OS X there appears to be a bug that stops loading a folder because of corruption of a file inside. You will be unable to retrieve this folder itself and see it on the desktop again but there is a simple solution.
It may seem obvious but you will have to access to finder and get every file inside of the search and add them to a new folder
