I've recently sent two friends an album via iTunes but want to confirm that their gifts have been received/redeemed. Is there any way to do this via my own iTunes account or do I have to come straight out and ask them if they've recieved it?

Thank you. I'm still uncertain if the gift has been redeemed as there is nothing to indicate it's "status". Are you suggesting that if the gift is still listed that it has NOT been redeemed and I should resend? Thanks for further clarification.

Thanks for trying to help - unforunatley you have an impossible task because apparently there is no way to find out if the gift has already been redeemed. I wish Apple could add a "status" feature so we know when and if the gift has been received, viewed, downloaded, etc. (Can we throw this into the suggestions box?) 🙂
