Q: Can some one tell me how to delete large quantities of email.  I have over 8000 messages.  Help

Can anyone tell me how to delete all my email messages, i have over 8000?  I can delete on iphone and Ipad using edit and selecting as many as i want but I dont see this option on my cpmputer. Help - Thanks.

    If it's an iCloud email account, delete them on icloud.com from your computer.  Don't try to delete more than about 500 or so at a time or it will probably hang the system.  Select the first, then shift-click the last, then press your delete key.  Empty the trash when you're done by clicking the gear icon on the lower-left corner in the Mail app on icloud.com.

     

    If it's a different email provider, do the same thing at their webmail site.
