I have connected my iphone ro my car bluetooth but I cannot transfer contacts using vcards

I have connected my iphone 5 to my 2008 Mercedes C class without any problem. However, I have tried to transfer my contact list to the phone system without any success.

The car asks for vcards which I have and are ready in my iphone, but, when I click on "receive business cards" on my car, my iphone dtops the connection.

I have tried many different settings and everything I have been able to look up but still no success.

It has been suggested that the iphone will not connect with bluetooth devices like other phones so maybe I need to use a different phone to achieve the transfer of contacts.

Any help or advice please

The iPhone supports the Phone Book Acess Profile (PBAP); this is what you should be using for contacts. It does not involve vcards. I would think the Mercedes supports it also, but it may require a software update.
