Right and Up arrow keys insert characters
Whenever I press the right or up arrow key, it will insert the character 8 or 9 before moving appropriately. Why did this start happening? How do I fix it?
What app or apps are you talking about here?

It happens in any app, but I am most concerned with it happening in Safari.
What version of os x are you using?
I started having the same problem with my macbook pro. What's odd is that I'm using Linux and not OS X. I suspect that this is a hardware problem. But I have no more insight of the problem.
