out of warranty replacement question...

My iphone5 is exactly 6 months past the 1yr warranty. Can i send it to Apple for the out of warranty replacement for the cost of $269? It wont power on nor charge.

iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.4

Yes, you can. Or if you have an Apple Store in your area, you can make an appointment there and they'll replace the iPhone on the spot (barring being out of stock of your particular model).

ok how do i go about this? BTW i dont have an Apple store near by so i will need to send it in. But when i go thru the support repair process and list the serial number, it says to turn Find my iphone off. My phone wont even power and it wont continue on the repair process.
