Moving automation point deletes other automation points?

When I move to snap an automation point on a beat/bar if there is a point already on that beat/bar it seems to want to delete it.

If I want a sudden rise or drop in volume it becomes a pain to zoom in to sort this out.

Can anyone help please?

A sudden change in an automation curve means two nodes very close to each other with extreeme different values.

The key is "very close" and to see/adjust those nodes, I'm afraid" you have to zoom-in to do that.

The other option is to use the Command whcih create the two nodes 1 frame appart

Mix ➤ Create Automation ➤ Create Two Automation Points at Region Border

or even better:

Drag a marquee selection over the Automation Lane and then drag the selection up or down. THis creates the 2 Automation Points at the left and right border of the selection

Hope that helps
