We just purchased Apple Remote Desktop to manage ~120 Macs. The first computer went fine we can observe, control, send scheduled messages. On the second and third computer we are able to observe and control but if we try to send a message or run a Unix command we get the message Not Authorized. We did a port scan on the IP with port 3284 and it does not say closed.

Try port 3283; that's the port ARD uses unless your systems are getting their IP addresses via NAT and so you have the ports mapped in the router so as to be able to connect to multiple systems.

Thank you for the response. I tried port 3283 and it says port scan completed.
If it doesn't show the port as open, that's probably your difficulty unless your network is set up to block port scans. Check your router and/or firewall.
