Connect your ipad to the mac via the usb cable it came with and then use itunes on your computer.

My iTunes does not give me an iPad option for connection.

The iPad shows up as a device in iPhoto.

I installed a new iTunes (same as the one I had [11.1.5]).

I still only have Apps, Books, TV, Movies, and Music, as options for connection.
