Fade Tool Not Working At All!!!

I've read every post about this issue thus far and none of them has helped. I am not using Apple Loops Files F.Y.I., Im not using multiple takes of audio so lets clear that up first. All I am trying to do is use the **** fade tool on a single track of Audio. I have tried converting to every audio file format I changed the advanced settings...etc...etc.. still no Fade Tool!! why is the fade tool so **** elussive?? Please...anyone this really annoying

Logic Pro X, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)

Hi,

did u find the solution to your problem? I can use the tool and set my curve but the audio doesn't fade. Anyone?

I dont know if this applies to any one of you, but if you are using flex mode on a track, the fade tool dosn't apply. You will have to bounce the track with your flex-settings, and then apply the fades.

Are you sure it's not working? I sometimes have a graphics issue where it seems that nothing had happened but if you look in the inspector window, the fade is there. It's annoying though.

On my machine it is even worse. Logic crashes every time when I select the Fade Out command and that is on a new Project, just with one new Region. It happens on both machines, an iMac and MacBOok, both with the most recent OSX 10.9.4 (BTW, same crash behavior on the Yosemite beta version)
