Looking for inexpensive compatible mouse for my mac. My apple mouse is several years old, jumps, locks up, wire insulation entering the mouse is broken and frayed. Does anyone know of a good inexpensive compatible mouse? Wireless would be preferrable.

As far as I know, Apple are no longer selling the corded mouse, though it is still available from Amazon, here in the UK. Price around £40. £50 will buy you a wireless mouse.
There are several cheap ones around but they rarely have too good a review and in any event, one man's sweetmeat is another man's poison. I have exactly the same machine as you and run with a wireless mouse (corded tend to get gunged up inside) and my only gripe is the lasting power of the batteries.
