No. None is available or needed for a non jailbroken iPhone.

So I had my band user id and password stolen and they instructed me to get anti-virus software for my computer, mobile phone, and tablet before re-activating online access. I have it for my mac now. So you're saying that there is no product or no way hackers could gain access through my iphone or ipad? I was told using free public wifi allows others to have access to the devices using the wifi... Is this not true?

As I said, there is no antivirus software for the iPhone. All apps for the iPhone are vetted through the App store. If your iPhone and/or iPad are not jailbroken, they have not been compromised. Hackers can not gain access to the device when using public WiFi. They may be able to access data transmitted over a public WiFi network, regardless of whether you're using a phone, tablet, laptop, etc. The chances that your ID/password were stolen due to a virus or malware are small. More likely it was compromised some other way. Possibly as a result of the recently revealed 'heartbleed' bug.

If you have not jailbroken your iPhone, and you are running the latest version of iOS for your device, then you do not have to worry about spyware/viruses. There is at least one antivirus app in the app store buy all it does is scan email attachments and will let you know if it has a Windows virus in it (there currently are no viruses for iOS or OS X in the wild).

As far as a free public wifi you are correct, if you do not know who is operating the hotspot they could track your activities on the other end. But no software on any device will do anything to prevent this, only an intelligent user can do so.

Not quite true, no. It's not true that using public wifi gives people access to the device. What it does is allow people on that network to snoop on any unencrypted network traffic. So, if your phone is transmitting a clear-text password for the account that got hacked, that could be captured by someone else on the wifi network who has the right software on their computer.

That said, though, the chances of that happening in most places is not high. Perhaps if you were on a very large open network, like in an airport, or if you were in a country that doesn't have particularly stringent laws against hacking (like Russia), then it might be more likely, but otherwise it's far more likely that someone simply hacked your account remotely. Probably the password was not as secure as it should have been and it got cracked by brute force.
