Can't move apps on iPhone to another page
Just tried to rearrange my apps on my iPhone using iTunes. They won't budge. What gives? I also can't move them directly on my iPhone. Is there a magic button I should press?

I just figured this out from this page: http://www.iphonehacks.com/2015/09/how-to-move-or-delete-apps-on-iphone-6s-witho ut-triggering-3d-touch-quick-actions.htm…
With the introduction of new features such as Home screen Quick Actions using 3D Touch, we’re hearing that some iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus users are having trouble putting the app icons on the Home screen in wiggle mode to move or delete them. They end up triggering Home screen Quick actions because of 3D Touch.
Here are some tips on how to move or delete apps on your iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus to avoid accidentally triggering Quick Actions because of 3D Touch.
How to move or delete apps on iPhone 6s
You a right, I've been able to do this for yrs on my iphone's and I tried it yesterday and a few min ago and doesn't work. What happens when I do it is a Window will pop up with different options to pick based on what the App is for.
That's BS. I have had an iPhone since iphone3. And the 7 is by far the worst for moving apps. I know exactly how to do it but this version ***** for moving apps off the screen.. the adaptive clicks has made it near
Hold an app icon until it wiggles then drag it to the edge of the screen and hold it there. All new pages are added to the right. If you have a case on your phone that comes right up to the edge of the screen, you may want to try removing it.
Thanks for responding. I tried that and just tried it without the cover. Still doesn't work. Just bounces back.
It will work. Try to drag it as far as you can to the right side of the screen and hold it there for a second.
That doesn't work either. Before I was trying to move to the left, but the right isn't working either. Something must be locked. Also, why can't I do this through iTunes like I used to do it. Thanks for trying.
It does work. Keep trying. After you do it once you will get a feel for it.
You can still manage them through iTunes too.
You double click on the app you want to move then drag where you want it.
Once you have the app, you can scroll down to other screens.
Well, I must be dense! LOL Just doesn't want to work. I did get the iTunes to work. I didn't know you had to double click on the app. I don't believe that in the past you had to do that. I would rather reorganize through iTunes anyway, so thanks a bunch for your help!
You are correct. Arranging apps through iTunes has changed.
You certainly are not dense.
It is not always easy to do. I have posted to other discussions such as this. You are not the only person who has struggled to get it to work. Most get it eventually. If you keep trying, you will too and after you do it once, it gets easier.
Either way, I am glad you were able to get it set the way you want.
The way they have it programmed is not Apple's finest hour. It is very frustrating to operate but I did it! Thanks again and Happy Easter!
When moving apps on screen I find it helpful to try to "Grab" the app icon I am moving as far to the left as I can if I am moving it to a screen that is to the right and as far to the right if I am moving it to a screen that is to the left. The trick is to get the icon past the half way point on the edge of the screen. Then it will jump to the next screen.
Be careful the first few times you do this. If you stop moving the icon on top of another one iOS will think you are trying to put those two apps in a folder and create a folder for you. You can then drag the app back out but it can get to be annoying.
It just takes practice.
You're welcome and Happy Easter to you also!
This worked for iPhone 6+. Amazing how many search results you have to blow through to get to someone who actually has the answer!
