How can I restrict creating a passcode on the iPad?

Our school lab is using iPad 2 (model MC769LL/A) iOS 7.1, and we don't want students creating passcodes. I looked at Settings > Restrictions and there seems to be nothing about disabling the passcode option. In Settings > Passcode, you can turn it off but students can easily change that. Please help.

Thanks.

At this time there is no way to block creation of a screenlock passcode. It's a much requested feature so perhaps Apple will include it in a future release of iOS. Schools for now just need to get used to having to restore the devices from time to time.

Make sure, however, that you do either set up iCloud and Find My iPad yourselves or you turn off the option to make account changes in the Restrictions. Otherwise you're sure to have at least one student set up Find My iPad and hence Activation Lock

and then either leave the school or refuse to release it which will render the iPad unusable should it ever be restored or upgraded.
