Turned the MacBook Air and Magic Trackpad off and on. It's connected. Worked, but no longer registering finger swipes of light touches/clicks. (It is registering the mechanical clicks). New wireless keyboard bought at same time is still working fine. Suggestions appreciated.
Hate to say the obvious but if you have a local Apple store or Premium re-seller, take it back. It is under guarantee and if you take back the trackpad and the MacBook air, in the process of testing it as they would be obliged to do, they would have to set it up for you.

Thanks. I bought it from Amazon, reported it as bad to them, and they sent a new one for exchange the next day. The replacement works fine.
