My notes disappeared from my iphone
I found my notes in my gmail account... which is a strange place for them. But I want them under my notes app so that I can share them with my computer and ipad again... like it use to be. How can I fix this?
I recently started losing notes from my iphone as well (I have been using notes without this occuring since 2011).
I didn't realize they were being sent to gmail and deleted from my iphone (weird, huh? If I write myself a note on my iPhone, I want it in notes, not in gmail. what was Apple thinking???).
The next step will erase any notes you have left on your notes app, so save your gmail of these notes if you want to keep them, but the new ones will be secure (until the next time apple or gmail do something different, anyway).
Go to settings>mail ... and turn notes off so they do not sync
go to settings>notes... and see that default account states "on my iPhone"
I also checked in settings>icloud to see if notes is turned off.
