How do I replace my SKY broadband router with an Airport Express?

I already have a SKY router in my living room but want to replace it with the Airport Express I have. My mac tells me to remove the phone cable from the sky router and connect it to the Airport Express wan socket but then nothing happens. Help!

you can't do this, you still need your ISP box to bring internet into your home, technically speaking it is a modem+router while any airport is only a router

without a modem, you won't get internet

connect your express to it in bridge mode (google or search this forum)
