past 3 years?
So.. my macbook pro is now past the 3 years since purchase.. will apple now charge me for this manufacturing default if i bring it in to the Apple Store?? anyone know if there are any good DIY fixes?

No DIY fixes at all and yes, Apple will charge you for a new logic board.
