Why isn't my FaceTime working on my iPhone 5?

Running on iOS 7.0.6 and I'm not sure why all of a sudden my FaceTime isn't working. Does it have to do with me having to update my software? All my settings are fine I just don't know why I'm trying to connect via FT and it still keep saying "connecting" but then fails. HELP PLEASE!

Lots of reports of FaceTime issues right now. Don't panic. Give it 24-48 hours to see if it gets sorted on Apple's end....
