I recently removed internal DVD drive & replaced w/2nd hard drive. I put DVD drive in new external DVD case & plugged in USB port. It reads the movie, because the name of the movie(s) pops up on the screen, but will not play movie, just gives me an error. What do I do?

I downloaded this app & it worked, just don't understand why it won't recognize the same DVD drive that was internal, & is just external now? Thanks for the help though.
The built-in player is programmed to look for the optical in its specific physical location. They just didn't aniticipate, or maybe care to facilitate, that type of modification.
