iOS: Merging two tables in Mail (copying, pasting, editing)

Hi everyone

I received two emails. Each had a table. I wanted to combine the two tables into one, but I realised I couldnt!

Tried on my iPhone:

a) Using Mail - I could paste the two tables into a new email, but I couldnt combine them into one

b) Using Office Mobile - I copied the tables in Mail, but couldnt paste into Office Mobile's Excel

c) Using Google Spreadsheet - Same thing, I couldnt paste into the spreadsheet

Anyone tried performing this using Numbers or even the new Excel for iPad?

Wondering if there is a way out.
