Not getting Mail on macbook, only on iPhone5

I don't know what happened but recently I have not been getting mail on my Macbook: Running Lion Version 10.7.5.

Can anyone help me please. Have gone on Communities and searched and unfortunately I must be missing something. I fixed the double entries on my iphone. I hope I didn;t delete items that were needed. Went to System Preferences and unchecked Cal and then once that wss done double entries were eliminated.

I am not getting any mail in my inbox.

Any advice from you pros out their would be appreciated.

Open the Connection Doctor under Window in the Menu bar when Mail is active.

Click on the more details to find why you are not connecting. Ususally you just need to re-enter the password in both the receiving and sending.

You can also select to rebuild your Inbox. Select the Inbox. Under Mailbox in the Menu bar select Rebuild. It's the last option.
