When I hold down the mouse so uninstall or delete VLC player, it does not have the X over it so that I can delete it
I try dragging to the trash and it won't go, it bounces back.
Please help me get this worthless player uninstalled

OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.1)
If I drag the VLC icon from my Applications folder to trash, I encounter no difficulty.

Where is the program installed?
Are you logged in in a system admin account? Do you have permissions to modify the Applications folder (assuming that it is installed in there)?
